What I learnt is that having lots of money doesn't make one happy. Money is not the gateway to happiness but it does give you security. If you are looking for true happiness in life, concentrate on your health and on having great friends and a family.

Looking for Donations

Everyone, really everyone, seems to be searching for donations these days. The WIESENTHAL CENTER is bombarding me with e - mails and so is Meshi Zahav and his ZAKA organization. The Chabad Hostel Ascent in Zfat is in dire straits and also asking for money. Almost every single organization and plenty of Rabbis keep on sending out newsletters. 

I have no idea if everyone of them succeeds in raising funds. What bothers me a lot is that the person collecting the funds is keeping a high percentage for himself and his private expenses. As a donor, you never know whether your money is being used helping the needy or whether the Rebbitzen / Rabbnit is financing her new Schabbes dress. :-)
