Messianic "Jews" and Anne Frank

Messianic Jews or simply called "Messianics" are a fanatic Christian group claiming to be Jewish and to keep Mitzwot. The only difference to other Jews would be that the Messianics believe in the Christian "Meshiach" J.

First of all, it has to be made very clear that the vast majority of Messianics worldwide are of Christian origin and only a tiny minority is really Jewish. Fanatic Christians who are members of Messianic communities love to call themselves "Jewish". Somehow they always feel the strong desire to belong to the "Jewish People". Not because of friendly but rather hostile reasons, as the final goal is always to missionize Jews. Halachic Jews just bother them, as they are the reminder that there are "real" Jews and not just fakes as the Messianics.

Why do those fanatic Christians claim their "false" Jewishness ?
Some of them simply want to be close to their "Meshiach" J. and others just want to belong to the "Chosen People - the Jews". Although "chosen" here doesn't mean anything super special but rather being a light to the nations by fulfilling Torah Mitzwot.

In order to appear really original, the Messianics put on a Kipa, mumble something about "Shema Israel"; although they don't have a clue about the real concept of the "Shema".
But who cares ?
They throw a Tallit (prayer shawl) over their shoulders and think that this is it. Moreover, they constantly use the name "HaShem - actually a synonym for A - do - na - i, one of G - d's names).
Messianics, as well as other Christian missionaries, like to copy Judaism and thus, claim it as their own.
Who needs the Jews anyway ?

Christian missionaries first try to learn from Jews. They participate in Shabbat meals, try to get into a synagogue, sneak into Jewish lectures, etc. Once they "learend", they start missionizing Jews. Claiming to be Jewish himself, the Christian missionary wants to show a Jew that it is possible to believe in the "Meshiach" J. and still be a Jew.

Especially in Jerusalem, we see those missionaries who claim to be part of the Jewish People. They live a lie in order to be close to their self - made Meshiach J.

The Torah TidBits of the "Israel Center" (orthodox Union), Keren HaYesod 22, has been publishing the following ad in the past week:

Then followed by a list of the event dates.


The organizer of the play "The Diary of Anne Frank" wanted to run the ad for three weeks but the ad was banned after the second week.
Reason:
Chuck King, the organizer and director of the play, is a Christian missionary and a Messianic Jew.

Chuck King is one of those above mentioned Christians calling themselves Messianic. Furthermore, he is one of the most famous (if not the most famous) Messianic songwriters whose songs are sung in all Messianic communities all over the world.

Are the Messianics now going to use the name of Anne Frank for their own vicious purposes ?
As we already know, Christian missionaries don't hesitate when it comes to missionize or cursing religious Jews. Either we are told that we will all burn in hell or we are told that if we just had believed in J., the Holocaust would have never happend.

Whoever is considering to go to the play in Jerusalem should be aware that this is a Messianic event. Boycott the event and tell as many people as you can about the goals of Chuck King and the Messianic communities !!!

After the people in charge of the TidBits learned about the true identity of Chuck King, his ad was banned and doesn't appear anymore in the latest edition.

The Cause

There are things in religious society which really cause me to freak. And yesterday was another moment when I almost blew up.

I came into our bakery and overheard a short conversation with some religious female employees. One of them told me that she had been to the funeral of the Chabad couple (Gabriel and Rivka Holzberg z"l) and she continued with mentioning "Lashon HaRah - idle gossip".

"What does Lashon HaRah have to do with the funeral ?" I asked.

"Well, she replied, it is all because of Lashon HaRah. All the Jewish suffering, everything. We have to do Teshuva."

I don't know if this is another typical Sephardi idea. Sephardic Jews are very much into handing out red ribbons in order to prevent the "Evil Eye - Ayin HaRah" from someone. Furthermore, their Rabbis (but also Ashkenazi rabbis) announce from time to time that Jews not checking their Mezuzot or Tefillin may cause personal catastrophes. If there is one letter missing or half disappearing, the Mezuza or the Tefillin is not kosher anymore. It is the Mitzwah of every Jew taking care that these items have to be checked from time to time. If not, who knows what is going to happen to the household.

Now the whole terror attack or the killings in the "Chabad House" just took place due to Lashon HaRah. Don't ask me where this was announced or which Rabbi decided so.

I said to the two Sephardic female workers that no one knows why things happen in this world; only G - d knows everything. We humans tend to make guesses as soon as their are incidents we are unable to grasp. Then we immediately start looking for solutions or explanations.

Why can't we just let it go ? It happened and, obviously, G - d had His reasons. Why do I have to invent a reason in order to understand tragedies ? Doesn't it bother people when suddenly some ideas appear of "I don't know what" rabbis ? How do they know G - d's reason ? Have they ever received His confirmation for such individual speculations ?

Sorry, but it is making me just sick when I hear such conclusions.

Last night at Ben Gurion Airport

So far, the coffins of six identified Israeli terror victims arrived at Ben Gurion Airport last night. The airport was full of celebreties; high ranking politicians as well as the Gerrer Rebbe Yaakov Aryeh Alter and one of the two Vishnitzer Rebbes from Bnei Brak (it didn't say which of the two).

On the plane were also the two - year - old son (Moshe) of the Chabad couple Gabriel and Rivka Holzberg as well as his Indian nanny.

Thousands of people are expected to come to the funerals this afternoon. At 1 pm, a funeral ceremony will be held for the Holzbergs in Kfar Chabad. Afterwards the Rabbi and his wife will be laid to rest on Jerusalem's Mount of Olives (Har HaZeitim).

Unfortunately people may get the impression that all the mourning is just about the Chabad couple and the son - in - law of the Toldot Avraham Yitzchak Rebbe, Rabbi Aryeh Leibush Teitelbaum. Further victims killed inside the "Chabad House" sometimes just seem to be forgotten. The Mexican Jews Norma Shvarzblat Rabinovich, who was on her way to Israel in order to make Aliyah. Furthermore, Ben Zion Korman as well as Yocheved Orpaz from Bat Yam near Tel Aviv.

In Israel, all the dailies have been full with the victim's stories for the past few days already. The country is in shock and hoping that such a terror attack won't happen here.

Mea Shearim got together and prayed to G - d showing mercy to His people. The special prayer took place due to the latest terror attack in Mumbai.

The funeral is taking place tomorrow (Tuesday).

Whoever cannot go to Kfar Chabad for the ceremoy can come to the Mount of Olives (Har HaZeitim) in Jerusalem where the Holzbergs will be laid to rest.

I contacted Rabbi Aaron Hurwitz from "The Chabad House of Rechavia and Nachlaot" and he told me that the ceremony in Kfar Chabad is starting at 10.30am and that the ceremony on the Mount of Olives should be at around 12.30pm.

Rabbi Leibush Teitelbaum z"l

Rabbi Leibush Teitelbaum was killed by Pakistani terrorists inside the "Chabad House" in Mumbai / India. He also was a son - in - law of the Rebbe of the Toldot Avraham Yitzchak.
Rabbi Leibush is survived by his wife and eight children.

Getting rid of "HaModia"

No one is really confirming it officially but there are plenty of rumours going around that hundreds of Israeli Haredim are canceling their "HaModia" subscription.

"HaModia" is one of the most well - known haredi newspapers. Not only its Hebrew edition but also its English as well as its French edition. "HaModia" stands for the Agudat Israel and especially for the Chassidut Gur. It is said that Gur is the most powerful force behind the "HaModia" and in particular, Yaakov Litzman, the Knesset representative of the Gerrer Rebbe. According to many critics of Gur, Yaakov Litzman is running the Chassidut and not the Gerrer Rebbe Yaakov Aryeh Alter.

However, many subscribers seem to be sick of all the intrigues the Gerrer Chassidim ran against Me'ir Porush during his election campaign. Furthermore, many Haredi claim that they don't want a "One - Man - Yaakov - Litzman - Show" anymore. And, last but not least, many subscribers just have enough of certain violent actions carried out by Gerrer Chassidim.

A further rumour says that the following chassidic groups are not in favour of the "HaModia" anymore: Kretchnif in Kiryat Gat, Orloi, Zanz, Slonim, Breslov, Lublin, Nadvorna, Machnovke, and others.
