More or less by accident, I stumbled over the grave of Rabbi Hirsch (Hebrew: Zvi) Perez Chajes on the Trumpeldor Cemetery in Tel Aviver.
Rabbi Chajes was born in famous Brody (today Ukraine) in 1876. Later on in his life he served as a Rabbi in Florence / Italy. From 1918 until he died in 1927, he served as the community Rabbi of Vienna / Austria. After he passed away, his dead body was taken to Israel (then Palestine) and buried on the famous Trumpeldor Cemetery.
