Shabbat Shalom

Seen in Jerusalem.

B"H

This morning, I took an early bus from Tiberias to Zfat (Safed). The ride takes about an hour and Zfat is located further north; on top of a hill overlooking the mountains until Meron (where Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai is buried). For the next nine days, the Chabad hostel "Ascent" is serving at my base for getting organized in the north. Besides I have lots of writing work and, besides all the religious articles, I am planning to arrange quite a few society articles as well. How life works in northern Israel, how people manage without a great job variety in the area and how people make ends meet (or not).

It was raining like crazy at around noon. The first rain had arrived and came with thunder and lightening. I just made it back to Ascent when the rain began. And, as usual in the northern area, the electricity is not too stable sometimes and for an hour, the whole system crashed. Never mind ! At least it was raining, as we desperately need rain !

"Shabbat Shalom - Gut Schabbes" to all of you !
