Haredi Demonstration against government taking over Rashbi Kever

 See more photos HERE !
B”H

Thousands were demonstrating at Jerusalem’s Kikar Shabbat tonight. The Israeli government is planning to turn the Kever of the Rashbi (Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai) in Meron into an international tourist site. Meaning that the Ministry of Tourism wants to ship thousands of Christians from all over the world to the holy site.

Can anyone explain to me what Christian have to do with the Tanna Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai ? If Rabbi Shimon knew this, he would beat the Christians from his grave site as fast as he could.

Tonight, the Edah HaCharedit was demonstrating at Kikar Shabbat (Ge’ulah / Mea Shearim. The Toldot Aharon Rebbe was there, as well as his brother, the Toldot Avraham Yitzchak Rabbe. Further participants: The Rebbe of Rachmastrivka, Pinsk – Karlin, Stropkov, Mishkenot HaRoim, Rabbi Wosner and many others.

Rabbi Berel Wein on the authencity of THE ZOHAR

Rabbi Berel Wein giving a lecture on the ZOHAR (Book of Splendor, published in 1290 by Rabbi Moshe DeLeon in Spain). The lecture took place at Yeshivat AISH HATORAH.

I do agree with the statement of Rabbi Yaakov of Emden. Furthermore, the wife of Rabbi DeLeon said after her husband's death that he (her husband) wrote the book. When asked why, Mrs DeLeon said that a book written by an author such as Rabbi Shimon sells much better. Further, Mrs DeLeon justified her husband by saying that they desperately needed the income from the book in order to pay their rent and this is the reason why Rabbi Moshe DeLeon claimed that the true other was Rabbi Shimon. Let's call it one of the first public relation campaigns.:-)

Christians are not welcomed in Meron !

B"H

Is goes without saying that MERON is a JEWISH place where the grave of the famous Tanna Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai is located. Despite the fact that Rabbi Shimon had nothing to do with Christianity or any other idol - worship religion, the Israeli government has been offering Meron including the site of the Kever to Christian tourists. Moreover, Jewish visitors to Rabbi Shimon's Kever have been complaining about secular and Gentile Kabbalah studies near Meron.

I don't understand what Christians and secular Jews are thinking: If you really want to show any honest Kavod to Rabbi Shimon and his teachings, you would never behave in such a way. Furthermore, I don't get it what Christians have to do with a JEWISH Rabbi, Tanna and Scholar.

Christian tourists groups in Meron ?
This would be a real disgrace of a Jewish site !
