At the Promenade (Tayelet) in Jerusalem

B"H

Its has been far more than twenty years since I visited the Promenade (Tayelet) in Jerusalem. The site has improved very much. The expensive restaurant is gone and, instead, the place has turned into a huge park. The only disturbance is the nearby Israeli Headquarter of the UN. I am saying this because the majority of the UN staff located in Israel is Arab. No wonder why the UN in New York keeps on condemning Israel but protects the Palestinians.

Enjoy the videos I made at the Tayelet ! You can see the new as well as the old city. However, I am going to put further photos into the blog !

The Rocket War from Gaza continues

B"H

Today is one of those "melancholic" days. The sky over Jerusalem is mostly grey and it keeps on raining. Winter is here and it is cold outside. A time to sit inside, have a hot cup of coffee or tea, enjoy a hot bowl of soup, light a candle and read or, in my case, write.

In addition to that, the missile war against Israel continues. I have heard that, only today, twelve rockets from Gaza have hit the southern of our country.  Somehow the Hamas and all Palestinians succeed in persuading the world that Israel is the aggressor. The truth is that if Israel was shooting rockets into Gaza for several years (as the Hamas does to Israel), the world including the UN would freak. Israel would face the worst sanctions but, in our case, the world loves to support Hamas.

View onto the Temple Mount and the Mount of Olives

View onto the Temple Mount (Har HaBayit) and the Al Aksa Mosque. In the background to the right: You can see the Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives (Har HaZe'itim).

Near the Kever of Rabbi Yitzchak Luria in Zfat

B"H

The video shows the landscape surrounding the cemetery in Zfat as well as the grave of the ARI, the famous medieval Kabbalist, Rabbi Yitzchak Luria, from the side. What you also see are the special pathways for the Cohanim (Temple Priests) who are not allowed to enter a cemetery due to purity reasons. Nowadays, you can find special pathways allowing the Cohanim to enter cemeteries. As long as they don't step onto the ground.

What always strikes me at the cemetery in Zfat are all the special pathways for Cohanim and women which are actually making other graves inaccessible.  Just look at the graves underneath the stage in front of the graves of Rabbi Yitzchak Luria, Rabbi Shlomo HaLevi Alkabetz and Rabbi Moshe Cordovero.

Live Event - Chabad Shluchim

B"H

All Chabad Shluchim have been gathering in Crown Heights these days. The annual Shluchim Conference is taking place and if you are interested, there will be a live broadcast from the GALA BANQUET tonight. In about seven hours from now on, meaning at around midnight according to Israeli time.  I may be in bed by then.:-)

However, here is the link to the Live Event:

Rocket Terror from Gaza

Israelis living in the southern part of the country escaping rockets flying in from Gaza

B"H

At least, the German press has, so far, ignored the latest attacks on Israel coming from Palestinian terror organizations in Gaza. The famous problem is that the international press closes its eyes when it comes to Hamas or Hizbollah attacking Israel but, as soon as Israel strikes back, the entire world starts screaming when there are Palestinians being attacked.

More than 60 rockets have hit Israeli territory within the past few days and Israelis living in the southern region near the border to Gaza keep on running to the bomb shelters. Yesterday, a "Grad Rocket" landed north of Ashdod.

The only solution I see is entering Gaza and finish off Hamas. Unless Israel doesn't take this tough step, nothing is ever going to change. Hamas and its terror friend "Jihad Ha'Islami" may feel much stronger and secure now, as Obama won the elections; and a Barak Hussein Obama who has become a good friend of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood won't go against Hamas but tell Netanyahu to keep quiet. Without Obama's permission, the Israeli army may not enter Gaza and this is why Hamas is just laughing at us and continues shooting rockets.

Gaza: Apparently Hamas and the Islamic Jihad are cooperating when it comes to their mutual enemy Israel.

Winter has finally arrived

B"H

It took a long time this year, until the cold rainy season finally arrived in Israel. Our country needs water, as the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) continues to dry out. This summer was extremely hot and everyone was just waiting for heavy rain showers in the winter season usually starting around October. This time, however, we even had a warm sunny November but now the rain has begun.

Temperature went down to 19 degrees Celsius during the day and 15 degrees at night. Today, we are facing stormy and rainy weather in Jerusalem. At least until tomorrow.

Oprah talking with chassidic Women

B"H

In many cases, you can find differences between chassidic women living in America and those being born in Israel. Whereas American chassidic women are, in a various cases, ambitious to start a professional career, their Israeli counterparts prefer not to. As a matter of fact, you will hardly find any Satmar or Dushinsky women having a great career outside her home. In Lubavitch, however, this may be different.

Furthermore, Oprah is talking with chassidic housewives apparently enjoying their role but what about those who do not ?

Urban Legend: "Snake People" and "Mermaids"

B"H

For different reasons, many people are attracted by distorted humans or nature disasters. Mermaids and other strange looking people have been arousing curiosity for hundreds of years. Today, a couple of video fakers put their videos into Youtube in order to get more readers onto their websites. Others just mislead people like in the video showing a "Snake Woman". This video is a complete fake and I wrote a Youtube comment:

It is an obvious computer fake. Furthermore, it is biologically impossible that a being "half man half animal" could exist. According to medical aspects, this is just impossible but people are attracted by the idea and others know how to exploit that kind of curiosity, as you can see in the video.

Until the Flood and Noach's Generation, humans had a different DNA and it was common that babies were born after humans and animals were having sex together. See Talmud Sanhedrin 108 ff. With this kind of perversion, the Generation of Noach destroyed G - d's Ma'aseh Bereshit (creation) and, in my opinion, this was the real reason why G - d brought about the Flood. However, after the Flood, humankind underwent a DNA change and, from then on, it was impossible for a human bearing a baby from an animal.

So, there are neither "Snake People" nor anything similar. On a medical basis, this would simply be impossible ! A human can not become a fly (see movie THE FLY) or any other animal - like monster (see movie THE RELIC).

Be aware of Blog stealing YOUR content

B"H

I have been noticing it for quite a while and also informed Blogger twice. The result was that Blogger deleted a few of MY own articles which got stolen from another Blogger.

An obviously ARAB Blog publishing all kinds of stolen content as its own. Especially articles in English, German and many other languages about Jerusalem. What the Blogger (according to the profile an Arab woman) does is searching the Blogosphere for content about Jerusalem. Then she copies and pastes it over to her Blog where it says underneath the article:

Author: An Arab Name

You can find the fake Arab Blog here

jeerusalem.blogspot.co.il/

Know that the entire Blog consists of stolen content the Arab Blogger hasn't written !
