One of the task of the Muslim Temple Mount guards WAKF seems to be getting rid of any religious Jew on the Har HaBayit. Whereas most Haredim refrain from visiting the Temple Mount due to halachic reasons, many national religious Jews do visit the Temple Mount. Most religious guides demand that those Jews intending such a visit need to go the Mikveh before. Furthermore, due to halachic guidance, the Jewish visitors do not step onto the ground of the former Azarah including the Kodesh Ha'Kedoshim.
Jews are not allowed to pray on the Temple Mount nor is it permitted to move ones lips. The reason for that may be that Arabs are very much aware of the power of a Jewish prayer which could cause the coming of Meshiach.
Just a few days ago, the WAKF again started attacking religious Jews.
