Who is going where this summer ?

Rabbi Shmuel Wosner from Bnei Brak is going to visit his country of birth: Austria.

The Biale Rebbe from Lugano (Switzerland) is going to Italy.

One of the two present Satmarer Rebbes, Rabbi Aharon Teitelbaum, is going to New Hampshire.

1. Rabbi Tuvia Weiss from the Edah HaCharedit travelled to New York in order to participate in the wedding of his grandchild.

2. The Karlin – Stoliner Rebbe travelled to the Ukraine yesterday (Friday).

3. The son of the Kosnitzer Rebbe is going to celebrate his wedding with the granddaughter of the Zidichover Rebbe this coming Wednesday. Actually, the Kosnitzer Beit Midrash in Tel Aviv is not too far away from where I live but, unfortunately, I haven’t made it so far. Someone who knows the Rebbe gave me a book documenting the history of Kosnitz but I have so much to research to do on other topis that Kosnitz has always been put somewhere in the background.

The Toldot Avraham Yitzchak Rebbe, Rabbi Shmuel Yaakov Kahn, is staying in Beit Shemesh due to the Bar Mitzvah of one of his grandsons.

The Dushinsky Rebbe is visiting his Bnei Brak community in Chazon Ish Street.

The Pinsk – Karlin Rebbe is in Beitar Illit. So is the Kalover Rebbe.

The Toldot Aharon Rebbe is in Sao Paolo / Brazil collecting donations.

Headlines of the haredi (ultra - Orthodox) weekly magazine "Mishpacha - Family":

The death of the famous Israeli Rabbi, Rabbi Mordechai Zemach Eliyahu this week. Rabbi Eliyahu (81) lived in the Jerusalem Kiryat Moshe neighbourhood  and used to be the spiritual leader of the national religious Knesset party MAVDAL as well as the former Sephardi Chief Rabbi of Israel. His critics claim that within the past years, the Rabbi pushed the national religious movement more and more into a haredi direction. However, this wasn't always the case, as the Dati - Leumi (religious - zionist) movement has become much more frum than 60 or 70 years ago.

- Chassidut Belz is having a huge bonfire right in front ot their great Beit Midrash in Kiryat Belz. Starting at around 8pm !

The chassidic world today:

- Bar Mitzwah in Chernobyl - Stropkov: The event is going to take place in Ashdod tonight. The grandchild of the Admor of Chernobyl and his son (father of the child), Rabbi Chaim Yitzchak Twersky (married into Stropkov).

- The Admor of Shatz is returning from London to Bnei Brak today. The reason for his trip to London was the collection of donations for his chassidic institutes.

- The Kretchnifer Rebbe (Jersalem) is also returning from London today.
Hopefully he got some donations for his Mosdot, as I like him very much. No one, I have seen so far, dances with such a devotion.

- Boro Park, Olam Ateret Chaya: An event in favour of the Kollel "Shmorei HaChmot" is taking place. The Jerusalemer Gavad, head of the Edah HaChareit, Rabbi Yitzchak Tuvia Weiss, especially came from Israel in order to participate.

"Shomrei HaChomot" ? Doesn't this sound very anti - Zionist ?

- One of the Bnei Braker Vishnitzer Rebbes, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hager, is going to visit the Rebbe of Chassidut Seret - Vishnitz (in Haifa) today. Further plans: Visiting Rabbi David Abuchazeira in Nahariya and praying at the grave of the Rashbi (Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai) in Meron.

- "Wort" in the Shomrei Emunim for the grandchild of Rebbe Avraham Chaim Roth. Her Chatan (groom) is going to be the grandchild of the Mishkenot HaRoim Rebbe.

- The Gavad of Jerusalem, the head of the Edah HaCharedit, Rabbi Yitzchak Tuviah Weiss, is going to visit the Skverer Rebbe (New Square) as well as the Satmarer Rebbe in Kiryat Yoel.

- Simchat Brit Milah (the great - grandchild of Rabbi Natan Gestetner) in Vishnitz.

- Simchat Brit Milah (grandchild of the Rebbe and child of his son Rabbi Shlomo Biderman) in Lelov (Bnei Brak).

- Today is the Yahrzeit of Rabbi Naftali Zvi of Ropshitz, 1760 - 1827. Rabbi Naftali used to be a student of Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk as well as of Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Rimanov.

- The Munkatcher Rebbe is travelling with some of his Chassidim to Munkatch / Hungary in order to celebrate the Yahrzeit of Rebbe Eleazar.
