Chassidut Gur and its Sex Takanot

People who are interested in extreme chassidic groups always concentrate on the members of the Edah HaCharedit without realizing that one of the most secret groups is Chassidut Gur and not necessarily the Toldot Aharon. The truth is that no Gerrer Chassid will ever publish the group's Takanot. Women are not even allowed to discuss their marriage details with their friends. 

Israel's left - wing newspaper HAARETZ published an article on the gender separation in Gur:

One has to understand that Gur is not only afraid of immodesty between men and women but of potential homosexual reationships between its Chassidim. This is the reason why already teenage Chassidim have to follow strict rules in order to prevent any temptation.

One of the former Rebbes, the Beit Israel, introduced a certain Takana husband and wife have to follow. I don't have any proof for this claim but the result of this particular Takana was that Gur founded its own Beit Yaakov. In order to prepare the girls for keeping this one sexual Takana. 

My personal claim is that young Gerrer women may even be unaware of this Takana, as it actually only concerns men. As a woman you don't know that something may be missing while having sex. The male Chassidim have to keep this rule and not the women. 

Other chassidic groups do not have such a rule and due to that rule, no women from other groups would agree marrying a Gerrer Chassid. However, it is Gur's business what they are doing and, as a person from the outside, I shouldn't judge. On the other hand, Gerrer Chassidim are humans and humans tend to break rules. If there is a Gerrer Chassid who finds the right wife, they could break the sex Takana and keep quiet. If the Rebbe doesn't know - so, who would mind ?

Rabbi Motti Elon is going to Court

I thought about writing much more about the national religious Rabbi Motti (Mordechai) Elon who now has to go to court but I decided to leave him out. Elon who is accused of homosexual activities towards his Yeshiva students. At least two former students are accusing Elon of touching, kissing and embracing them. The “Rabbi” wanted to satisfy his own sexual desire. 

Now Motti Elon gave a press conference and says he is innocent. He sees himself in the middle of a whole conspiracy against him and hired a quite expensive looking lawyer. I do think that he is guilty and find it disgusting how the national religious movement sticks to him. 

However, there is one person knowing the truth, and I am not talking about the “Rabbi” himself; neither about his victims or students. I am taking about his WIFE. About MRS. ELON. She has never appeared in public nor said anything regarding the case. It is, as if she doesn’t even exist. As a woman I can tell you that a wife knows what is going on. You just feel it and it is also a matter of the “Rabbi’s” behaviour in his own bedroom at home. Unfortunately, his wife doesn’t speak and this is why the “Rabbi” may be lucky.

Why did Yoel Hazroni kill himself ?

Ex – Haredi Yoel Hazroni committing suicide about two or three weeks ago. The the former Haredi was from Modi’in Illit (Kiryat Sefer near Modi’in) and hung himself in his apartment in Tel Aviv. Yoel had just left society and become secular a few years ago. He shared an apartment with his flatmate Shai Gold and worked at a supermarket. Just recently Yoel also admitted that he is gay and thus was a member of the Tel Aviv gay community.

He had never lost contact with his parents, even when everyone knew that he is a homosexual. Yoel was visiting his family and some of them were seeing him in Tel Aviv. A day or two before he killed himself was the Yahrzeit of his father and he participated in the event. There, apparently a brother of his father, told him something very offensive. It is not know what exactly but Yoel was very upset after the talk. Then he hung himself at his Tel Aviv apartment where Shai Gold found him.

Many of Yoel’s friends and even some Hebrew speaking blogs are asking whether the relative is guilty of Yoel’s suicide. Maybe he made him feel so guilty that Yoel couldn’t take it anymore ? Yoel Hazroni was buried on Har HaMenuchot in Jerusalem.

The Halacha questions whether a Jew committing suicide may be buried at the main part of a Jewish cemetery. Generally, such Jews are being buried “near the fence”, meaning, in a special area of the cemetery. What is amazing is that the gay community mourning about Yoel was allowed to participate in the funeral. The Hazroni family even set up a date that the community could come to the Shiva to Kiryat Sefer. Loosing a son to secularism was nothing new to the Hazronis, as an older brother of Yoel had left way before him and today lives in Petach Tikvah (near Tel Aviv)

Halacha also says that a Jew can do Teshuva until the last second of his life. When someone commits suicide, we don’t know for sure whether this person didn’t regret his action at the very last second. How do we know for sure whether he regretted or not ? This is why a person taking his own life has the right receiving a halachic funeral. Yoel Hazroni'ss death is tragic, as it shows that many former Haredim don’t search for psychological help. Especially Tel Aviv is an Eldorado of support groups and help lines. Also for Haredim or those leaving society. We will never know for sure why Yoel decided to die but others should learn from him and search for help.

Donkeys versus Jerusalem Gay Parade

I heard that Jerusalem celebrated its Gay Parade today and when this is taking place, it works very different from the same event in Tel Aviv. The parade participants in Jerusalem usually only receive limited space and a few hours in order to march around. And, as in previous years, a counter demonstration took place. Baruch Marzel was on his way and brought some donkeys but I don't think the donkeys were gay.:-)

The donkey comparison drives the gays nuts, as they are too much reminded of their own sexual lifestyle. But do the poor donkeys understand that humans compare them to other humans imitating them ?

 

Chassidic Music at the Tel Aviv Gay Parade

Until about two years ago, different Jewish religious directions (especially the Haredim) made a complete fuss about the "Gay Parades" in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. "No such weirdo animal - like events in the Holy City and in the Holy Land". Male homosexuality is forbidden according to the Torah and there is no need for such stupid parades showing the Yetzer HaRah from its worst side.

Then haredi Rabbis decided not to refer to the events anymore and just ignore them. A very good decision and I have been following their example so far. My intention was not to write about the Tel Aviv Gay Parade taking place yesterday (Friday) afternoon. Although I work and live near where the parade passed, I wasn't anxious seeing anything connected to it. There were male gays running around in underwear and viking hats; some male gays even wore bikinis. Nevertheless, I ignored them despite the fact that it was just disgusting seeing this. At least there were no children around.

Why I decided writing about the "animal parade" is a certain situation making me very upset. I heard the loud music of the parade coming closer and the music mainly consisted of FEMALE pop songs which I found a bit strange. Only pop songs sung by women ? But, okay.

Suddenly that Gay Parade decided to play Jewish religious music such as "HaKadosh Baruch Hu, anachnu ohavim otcha" as well as two songs from a Breslover Nana CD. Example: "Mishe Ma'amin lo mefached ...".

I know that many gays try convincing other people that they are normal, that there is nothing wrong with homosexuality and that G - d loves them. It is only the bad Haredim demonstrating against them but G - d is actually in favour of "Men wearing Bikinis". I just couldn't believe how far the gays would go in order to live such a lie.

As I said, male homosexuality is forbidden according to the Torah and whoever lives his sexual perversion, has to face the consequences. There is no way around and I can play as many religious songs as I like.

Especially male homosexuality damages the body and, in particular, the soul. The ARIZAL, Rabbi Yitzchak Luria (1534 - 1572), states in the "Kitve'i HaAri" (Sefer Sha'ar HaGilgulim) that if a Jew has certain bad habits (behaviour), he probably took them over from his former Gilgul (Reincarnation) from the animal world. Example: If a human being likes to show his naked body, his former Gilgul must have been an animal. Now, as a human in this world, his task is to overcome certain behaviour damages and turn them into something positive.

When I saw some of the male gays running to their parade yesterday, the expression "animal" would have even been an offense to an animal, as even animals behave more civilized. Using Jewish religious music as a justification or in order to make Haredim upset is simply stupid. If the gays are longing for acceptance, their parade actions caused the opposite and they made a fool of themselves.

A few remarks on Sex

Some people seem to be quite interested in “Sex in Israel” and love to google the subject. Especially some of my German readers. Traveling to Israel and having sex with a Jew / Jewess ? Is this becoming a kind of fashion ?

Our Halacha doesn’t allow sex between Jews and Gentiles and the Torah prohibits intermarriage between Jews and Gentiles.

The Shulchan Aruch (Code of Jewish Law) commands a Jew who wants to have sex and is not married or wants to go to a prostitute for whatever reason, to change his clothes and travel to another city. Nevertheless, sex between Jews and Gentiles is a complicated matter and I know quite a few secular Jews in Tel Aviv who would not want to have a relationship with a Gentile.

The whole issue always reminds me of an acquaintance of mine who once had sex with a British Gentile but regretted it afterwards. She wanted to marry a Cohen and asked me if I could ask a Rabbi whether this is still possible. I did and the answer was that a Jewish woman who has sex with a Gentile cannot marry a Cohen.

A young Haredi and his sexual Depression

Twice or three times a month he sneaks into this anonymous place in Tel Aviv. Outside, in the streets, he usually snatches one of the free pornographic magazines laying around everywhere and quickly puts it into his pocket. A Haredi shouldn’t do this; follow his Yetzer HaRah and grab dirty magazines in the street. Not in public where everyone can see it. But who cares in a city like Tel Aviv where absolutely nothing seems to be unusual ?

On the other hand, he cannot help it. The feeling appears like an obsession and he is unable to stop it. He goes into the place and looks through the magazine. Not to look at the photos but to search for prostitute phone numbers. 

“Should he ? Should he not ?”

Again he goes outside. Maybe a prostitute is offering her services in the street. He wishes she would come up to him and just ask if he is desperate but none of the ladies shows up. 

Again he goes inside, ashamed of himself but starring at the hooker numbers.

Time is up and he has to pay the place for another hour. 

He walks outside, he goes inside and is starring at the magazine.

“Should he phone one of the prostitutes ?”

He is ashamed and, in the end, he pays for three hours without satisfying his sexual desires. Did he overcome his Yetzer HaRah ?

In two weeks, he will be back …
