One of the two Vishnitzer Rebben of Bnei Brak, Rebbe Israel Hager, is coming to Jerusalem this Shabbat (24 - 25 April / Rosh Chodesh Iyar).
The Rebbe will be giving a Tish (in Vishnitz called "Botte") this Friday night.
Location: Behind the Great Synagogue of Ruzhin - Boyan.

ReplyDeleteWhat is the exact meaning of the word "Botte?"

ReplyDeleteAbout the real meaning of "Botte", I need to find out. Basically it is the name for the Tish of the Vishnitzer.
The Rebbe eats at home and then comes to the Botte where there are some snacks (e.g. fruit) and is sitting together with his Chassidim.
I also heard that the Vishnitzer in Monsey are different from those in Bnei Brak, as the ones in Monsey are closer to Satmar. The Vishnitzer in Bnei Brak are part of the Knesset party "Yahadut HaTorah".

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, the old Rebbe is very ill and not able to lead the Chassidut. And, also unfortunately, his two sons are fighting about leadership.
