I looked and looked but, so far, I haven't found the Pashkevili (news poster) on the net which I saw in Mea Shearim yesterday:
Mea Shearim and Ge'ulah are going out to demonstrate against the decision of the Zionist municipality leading all kinds of Egged buses through those two haredi neighbourhoods.
Due to the construction site of Jerusalem's tram, the traffic has to be led through Kikar Shabbat / Yechezkel. The Pashkevilim are warning that all kinds of people will come to their neighbourhoods because of the new bus stops. Especially immodestly dressed secular Jews let alone Christian Missionaries.

What are they so afraid of?

ReplyDeleteAs the bus traffic would increase starting from Gimmel Elul, more and more immodest people may cross the neighbourhood. It is summer and not everybody is dressed in long sleeves.:-) Meaning, the secular may populate in the streets of religious neighbourhoods.
