News from the Mea Shearim Mother

B"H

Me not reporting about the accused Mea Shearim mother doesn't mean that there is nothing going on behind the scenes. Last Wednesday, the Toldot Aharon woman didn't show up for a hearing at a Jerusalem court. Her lawyer, David HaLevi, excused her by saying that she fears the cops do evil the way they treat her.

So far, she has been under house arrest in her home watched by a second person. The little boy who was hospitalized now lives with relatives.
Today (Tuesday) the mother has another hearing at a Jerusalem court and the prosecution is going to press charges now. There would be enough proof that the mother abused and neglected her three - year - old son.

The mother, on the other hand, is coming up with a new proposal saying that if the prosecution is ready to drop all charges, she and her family are ready to move to England. Her reason is that the Israeli press and police are leading a war against her.

I am asking myself why she would move to England ? Because her husband is English. Fine, but there is no Toldot Aharon community outside Israel besides Monsey / NY.
And besides her blood libel claim, doesn't a flight rather looks like a confession ?
If I was innocent, I would do anything I could in order to prove it. The media could hate me as much as possible but I would demonstrate my innocence.
Sounds like in a Hollywood movie ? Maybe, but I would not just run away.

  1. This poor woman is 5 or 6 months pregnant and was not feeling well. Her lawyer asked the police to defer the interrogation. She was interrogated the following Sunday and Monday. Today she is not feeling well again. Please be more accurate in your reporting.

I've read your version and another version saying that she doesn't trust the police, as they were treating her badly.

I don't know if I should believe one of them. She showed up at the "Moriah" police station in Talpiot a few days ago.

  3. Letting her leave the country is wrong. There is still no conclusion for the sick child. The problem is, too much stress has been put on "religion" clouding facts, and making the entire situation look like a black comedy. Pregnant or not she needs to do her day in court. If this was happening to a secular Jane Doe she would still be in jail! No one person can be above the law!

Actually no one seems to know how the child is doing. Maybe there are social workers visiting the relative family but nothing is being said to the public.

First of all, all circumstances should be clarified before leaving the country.

  5. Sajosovic, the "poor" mother? How is she "poor?" Poor in ethics? Poor in her actions? Poor in morality? Poor in the way she treated her child??

  6. "poor" that she is highly pregnant and being interrogated in order to force from her some sort of "confession", "poor" that she was kept in custody for 10 days before being brought before a judge, "poor" that she is being persecuted by the State of Israel.
