Bat Israel & Pritzut

B"H

A few members of the anti - Zionist umbrella organization from Mea Shearim, the EDAH HACHAREDIT, demonstrated against the misbehaviour of women. In particular, against immodest female clothes: Short skirts and shirts / blouses with short sleeves are forbidden.

What about me in pants ?
No, just joking ! Nevertheless, what bothers me is that all those modesty demonstrations are only against women. What about immodest guys ? Is no one demonstarting against them ?
Maybe I should start such a demonstration.

It is just strange that all the demonstrations are only against women.

Actually I was lucky not to have passed the demonstration in pants.:-)

  3. I for am sick to death of being told to cover myself like a sack of potatoes because these men can't control their behavior. What the heck are they studying in those yeshivas? How do they stand before Hashem and think they are so holy--There is nothing holy about oppressing women so you never have any temptations! What a bunch of hypocrites!

  4. I know our version are more photogenic but the Taleban and the Haredim are growing ever closer to being indistinguishable.

  5. The latest thing from the va'ad hatznius or whatever they're called is to pour syrup on all the benches in Mea Shearim and Geulah so that people can no longer sit down. Why? Because men and women sometimes sit together on shabbos and shmuz. The Edah hates this. What if an elderly man wants to sit? Not anymore.

I have hardly ever noticed an benches in Mea Shearim / Ge'ulah. Just at the bus stops.

What I do see is some men and women standing together in the streets talking. I have always assumed that, even if those people are not married, they may be family members or neighbours.

The Toldot Aharon Rebbe ordered (Yiddish on the Synagogue posters: "Der Rebbe hat stark gebeten ..." )all the women to leave the Tish at least 15 minutes before it officially ends so that both genders don't meet and gather outside.

I am already waiting for Sukkot and excited to see all the modesty signs and precautions.:-)))

Here my descriptions from last Sukkot:
