B"H
The Ramban (Nachmanides, Rabbi Moshe ben Nachman Girondi, 1194 - 1270) stated:
The whole Torah is G - d's name.
Meaning: In the Torah, G - d has expressed His transcendent being, or at least part or aspect of His being which can be revealed through creation.
Have you ever actually read the Tanach?
ReplyDeleteB"H
ReplyDeleteNot the entire one, as I tend to study. And this means taking apart many concepts. On the other hand, I have to admit to be a more Talmudic person.
I think if you read it you would be much less likely to identify it with God's name...
ReplyDeleteB"H
ReplyDeleteThe Torah comes from G - d and thus does include His inner being.
Read it and then come back to me.
ReplyDeleteB"H
ReplyDeleteWe don't say READ but STUDY. Meaning with all commentaries, Midrashim, anything.
If you will only read it with rabbinic commentators you will never actually read or understand it.
ReplyDeleteB"H
ReplyDeleteIf you study Torah without commentaries (including Midrashim) and the Talmud you will never understand it.
When was the torah written? When did rashi live?
ReplyDeleteB"H
ReplyDeleteThe Torah was given my G - d at Mount Sinai and Rashi lived from 1040 - 1105

what year did this revelation happen in? do you really believe that the whole tanach was given to moses at sinai?
ReplyDeleteB"H
ReplyDeleteNot the TANACH but the TORAH.
The date you can see here:

So you have never read the Torah?

ReplyDeleteI am getting the impression that you don't know what you are talking about. First learn the difference between Tanach and Nach and then ask !
