When we are ill and an ambulance is coming to take us to hospital, we are very grateful indeed. However, when I saw the sign of an Israeli Magen David Adom ambulance yesterday, I almost fainted. Standing at a bus stop in Jerusalem and reading the sign of the parked ambulance car made me think about what is going on in our Jewish country.

But only those Christians who don't have any agenda as the Evangelicals !

  2. Agenda or not, the nations of the world used to donate to the beis hamikdash as well as bring sacrafices.

Miriam, being new to Tiberias and this whole missionary thing (never EVER heard about this in Tzfat) can you tell me if there are any groups that dress a certain way or if there are other indicators? YOu know, i have a hard time believing they don't have SOMETHING that allows one to recognize the other.

I've seen somethings here that make me wonder, but not sure- Magen David that's not in a circle like on your pic. Any experience with that?
thx - always a great read.

Yes, it is strange. There are not missionaries in Zfat. I asked around and people hadn't heard about any missionary activities.

Two years ago, I phoned up the Chabad Shaliach in Rosh Pina, as I suspected a missionary group there. However, I was told by the Shaliach that there is only one missionary woman living in Rosh Pina. An American woman, as far as I remember.
Everyone knows her vicious business but no one is responding to her. In general, Rosh Pina is very Jewish.

So is Tiberias but the town is full of Christian tourists. This bothers me a lot when I am visiting. Furthermore, I heard that German missionaries live in Migdal. Do you know anything about their influence ?
I am tempted to call up the local Chabad Shaliach but haven't done it yet.

Magen David Adom as well as the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem receive Christian donations. The same with the Yad Vashem.
