The British "Daily Telegraph" published a photoshopped picture showing Anne Frank at the age of 80. Anne Frank who died in the Bergen Belsen concentration camp would celebrate her 80th birthday tomorrow (Friday).
A former friend of Anne didn't show too much enthusiasm about the picture because the editor forgot taking into consideration that the famous diary girl underwent extreme sufferings in the concentration camp. And those sufferings weren't marked in her face.
Personally, I don't like the idea of this kind of imaginable picture. Nevertheless, on my German blog I received a interesting comment saying that Anne Frank is too much associated with a little cute girl hiding from the Nazis. The photo is making people aware of the fact how Anne would look today, if she was still alive. Thus taking away the imagination of the eternal young girl.

The age-thing is not bad. Actually not everyone who suffered the horrors ended up marked. I had neighbors and family who survived the worst and surprisingly showed no sign on the outside--it was inside where the damage remained permanent.
