    Rioting on Shabbos? In Yirushalayim? 'Haredim'? Shocked, I'm shocked.
    Miriam, what's the problem there? Can you report you readership what is the problem with those people there?

    They're only desecrating shabbos further by rioting and acting with violence. The police aren't at fault for acting back with violence.

    I heard so many different versions and I am going to have a look myself this Shabbat.

    I also heard that mostly teenagers are demonstrating and for them it is also an act of entertainment. Nevertheless, the police should show that much violence.

    I must admit that I am appalled by these riots. I don't want any prejudice anyone, though. No one I know here supports this riots.
    My wife was paged because of this late on Shabbos before Motzei Shabbat. So, yes, it does desecrate Shabbat for me. It's terrible. Riot on Shabbos? Impossible. What a mess.
    Sorry, I don't want to comment any further on this issue, not in English. It is not fit for international non-Israeli readers.
