Aron HaKodesh in Ponibezh

B"H

The Bnei Braker Yeshivat PONIBEZH is known in the haredi world as a kind of litvishe elite Yeshiva. Despite all kinds of internal fights about leading rabbinical positions, Ponibezh is still popular and many young men dream about studying there.

Photo: Litvishe Haredim (also called LITVAKS). They are not chassidic and before the Second World War, they were mostly studying in Lithuanian places such as Ponebezh (today in Bnei Brak near Tel Aviv), Slobodka, Vilnius, Volozhin, Mir (Jerusalem) or Brisk (Jerusalem and the USA).
