The Halacha on the "Shalit Deal"

A reader of this blog sent me a very interesting link to an article describing the pros and cons of the "Shalit Deal" in a Jewish religious manner.

    What did Israel win in that deal? Nothing! thanks G-d that Shalit has returned to his home, but Israel gained nothing at all.

    It was a situation which resulted in no one gaining anything.

    A family got their son back. And the victims families have to deal with the fact knowing that the person whom murdered their loved ones received a heroes welcome.
