B"HJerusalem's ultra - orthodox neighbourhood, Mea Shearim, is suffering a new scandal.
A 30 - year - old mother (looks like Toldot Aharon) was arrested because of starving her 3 - year - old son. The son only weights 7 kilos.
Further details provide ARUTZ 7 (English) and the Chadrei HaCharedim (Hebrew) !
The doctors say that the mother is suffering from "Muenchhausen Syndrom" and thus she loves all the attention the doctors give her.
In the meantime, the Edah HaCharedit has been organizing further demonstrations for freeing the arrested mother and some Rabbis claim that this is just a police revenge for the Edah's Shabbat demonstrations.
Personally I think it is terrible how sometimes haredi society closes its eyes in front of child abuse, rape, drugs and other crimes. You cannot just keep your mouth shut and do as if everything is so great. There are many great but also many negative things happening in haredi society but in this case, it doesn't seem that the mother is an "Eshet Chayil - honourable woman".

She's from Neturai Karta. She was caught on videotape taking the feeding tube out of her child in the hospital but it's the usual garbage with the Edah. A frum person can do no wrong. But I think the most tragic news of the day concerns Rav Shlomo Amar and Rav Ovadia Yosef, and how they managed to get the man who drove into a parking lot attendant because he didn't want to pay the bill off the hook.

Maybe because the NK was fascinated by Rebbe Aharon Roth and his ideology. However, I didn't know they wear the same style, as many people are associated with the NK.
The guy from the parking lot was "lucky" that his victim was Ethiopian. Meaning, Ethiopians don't have a lobby in our country !
I don't see the Edah as the signatory on the poster, but rather a very long named (recently invented I imagine) organization!

ReplyDeleteI have a lot to say on the subject today, as the secular press is totally freaking out and jumping on that case. Especially "YEDIOT ACHARONOT" and "KOL ISRAEL - RESHET BEIT". When an outsider is listening to the secular news, he will be mislead in many cases, as the press doesn't make any difference between the Edah HaCharedit and the Neturei Karta. This is only one example of misinformation !
