The Edah HaCharedit is still trying to prevent the moving of human bones from a certain area in Yaffo (near Tel Aviv). At the moment, a big fight is taking place between Israel's famous company Electra and the Edah HaCharedit has put a ban (Cherem) on Electra products. Moreover, different lawyers have been trying to proof that the company carrying out the bone excavations doesn't belong to Electra and thus, there would be not reason to accuse Electra.
Yesterday, another Edah demonstration took place at the location in Yaffo where the Jewish bones are being excavated and removed. Secular Israeli papers claim that the police has enough of haredi demonstrations and thus wanted to get rid of the demonstrators quickly. The Yaffo police discovered a special trick to succeed: They sent a few women and today we see a policewoman grabbing a Toldot Aharon Chassid and pulling him away. Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch from the Edah HaCharedit was injured when the police started a "Pepper Gas (Hebrew expression)" attack.

The two Israeli haredi radio channels "Kol Ba'Ramah" as well as "Radio Kol Chai" have been extensively reporting about the demonstrations for the past weeks whereas the secular press sometimes shows photos from the violence on the haredi side. Otherwise the vast Israeli population doesn't care about the illegal and non - halachic bone removing.
Haredi matters have become a political issue within the past few weeks and some Knesset parties have been trying to use anti - haredi propaganda for their own purposes. Fact is that the Israeli haredi population has no lobby at all and what they need is a competent spokesman besides Rabbi Shmuel Pappenheim, Me'ir Porush or Eli Yishai.
