Disgusting picture. It's so weird. Would people put photos of the Rebbe in their toilets? This is the impression I have seeing this picture. People are out of mind to fix the Rebbe's photo every where. What does the Rebbe have to do with those items that are going to be sold?
I don't think that the shopowners intentions are bad. He just doesn't think about the poster.
Israel is full of such "Yechi Adoneinu ..." posters and you can also find one next to the "Kingdom of Pork" store near Tel Aviv's Central Bus Station / Levinsky Park.
After years of living in Jerusalem, I decided to betray the city by moving to Tel Aviv.:-) In the meantime I returned to the Holy City. It is actually very good to be back in Jerusalem !!!
Nevertheless, I am still writing about Jerusalem but also include many other places in Israel.
Until some years ago, I was a Yeshiva (Michlalah) student. First with the national religious and later with the Litvishe. Also got in contact with Chassidut and this subject and lifestyle has never left me.

ReplyDeleteI'm even sure that the guy who accepted to fix that photo doesn't know the meanings of the words printed below the Rebbe's picture.
